First up…Meet Patrick Ramsey.
Too young for retirement, Patrick joined the brokerage nearly 4 years ago to pursue his passion for real estate. He has always been interested in renovations and floor plans and the potential that he can see in a property and finds the hunt for the perfect home for his clients extremely satisfying. Patrick is described by his fellow team members as kind, consistent, dedicated, loyal, and routine oriented …as the pictures show, he will go above and beyond for you, whether it is changing your tire, serving up pizza or happily handing over the keys to your new home, Patrick does so with genuine good-hearted spirit! His strength comes from his core beliefs living by his self-described family motto: Work hard and pray! As Patrick himself states, “there is more to me than what appears on the surface”…read on to see some of the most interesting things we have found out about Patrick…
What did you want to be when you were little?
I wanted to be a Vet but my first career ended with me working for the government as a Beef Cattle and Business Development Specialist.
If we found you singing Karoke, what song would it be? Ha Ha, I wouldn’t be singing and people would be thankful. My wife Trudy has the voice in our household. I do like Country Western and easy listening music…influenced by my Alberta roots I suppose and growing up on a farm.
What is the most daring thing you’ve ever done? Elk hunting in Kanaskis country, west of Longview, Alberta, near Mist Creek…some friends and I packed in on horses to stay for a week in grizzly bear territory…and yes we encountered a bear…luckily for us I was able to scare him off with my whistle and we didn’t need to use our guns.
We are seeing a trend here are you? Patrick could just be our resident cowboy! Because yes there were beans and coffee along on those week long adventures over the 21 years he lived in High River.
What are you most proud of?
I am proud of my marriage of 40 years to my best friend, Trudy, our 3 sons, 2 daughters-in-law and 6 grandchildren and for my first and second careers, all of which have kept me motivated to do my best each day.
What are three things you think of each day?
Breakfast, lunch and dinner 😊 and my daily walk with my wife.
What tv/movie series do you most enjoy?
Indiana Jones has always been a favourite as I love the archaeological nature of it and the adventure.
What is your favourite fast food restaurant in town?
A and W. I love supporting the goal towards 100% Canadian grass fed beef. Can’t get away from my beef specialist roots! Grass fed beef is healthier because it is higher in Omega3 fatty acids.
What is your favourite fine dining in Vernon?
Intermezzo, hands down. I reward all my clients with a gift certificate to this fabulous local restaurant and I try and take my wife there every few months.
What is you goal with your clients on a daily basis?
I am always shooting for my best, to find the home that best suits a client’s needs and to meet their expectations as their agent. And for my listing client’s to best represent their property in a manner that results in a sale we can both feel good about.
What do you love most about O’Keefe 3 Percent? It is a boutique real estate office where we all support each other and work well together as a team that feels like family!
